Renovation in Boone, NC

Project Details

VPC completed the renovation of a building in historic downtown Boone. The project included demolition of existing flooring throughout, removal of dated wallpaper, demolition of a masonry wall for new larger windows, and the demolition of interior walls to accommodate the new floor plan.

The new floor plan consisted of the addition of a new reception/waiting room, and new conference room. Also included in the new floor plan was the replacement of the existing windows in the rear with new larger windows. The project included new finishes throughout including wood flooring, carpet, ceramic tile, paint, interior trim and railings, cabinets, doors, and appliances. We also renovated the existing plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems by adding a backflow preventer. The interior renovation was concluded with new lighting throughout the building, and new air return duct work.

Not only did the interior receive updating, this project also included a facade renovation. Work included the demolition of the existing facade including much of the front exterior wall for new storefront windows. We worked with a local architect and the Town of Boone to bring back the earliest known historical look. This included new brick veneer, stone veneer, wood trim, and a new metal canopy.
